Create 1: I am a creator

Good Morning.

Good morning!

It is good to be here, with you.

And also with you.

A new year. A new project. On creation, creating, creativity, creatability… I’m excited and grateful.

Thank you for the Presence Project. It was beautiful. I learnt so very much.

I am sensing that this project shall have no accompanying text. Is that right? (There was a clear message that this project is guided by a principle of Create>Consume)

Yes.

While I may still dip into books for inspiration and to settle in to the resonance required for these Dialogues. Right?

Indeed.

At the end of the Presence Project, in the last Dialogues of 2020, we established how this Create project might go – using a protocol we called:

Creative D.A.R.M.A.

  1. Download creative impulses whilst accumulating ‘present moment awareness’ (Michael Brown’s term from The Presence Process, eg via a 15min conscious connected breathing practice.)
  2. Act upon them (within 24h, if it feels right)
  3. Record outcomes and Reflect upon them
  4. Mention the outcomes (though not their source) to another person, to anchor the new creation in the world (and have them seen/witnessed, rather than hidden, I guess)
  5. Appreciate – and affirm to oneself – the source of the outcomes – to build confidence that ACTING upon our CREATIVE IMPULSES is a Good Thing.

And the idea is to see what happens when we ‘Create Something New’ each day.

I’ve got 2 notebooks and 1 photo album for this project:

  1. One notebook next to me here for the mornings – the Book of Creative D.A.R.M.A.
  2. and one notebook next to my bed called Today’s Creation to note down the #SomethingNew I created that day.
  3. I’ll also photograph each Daily Creation and put it in a special album on my phone at the end of the day.

It’s a top and tail approach to the day, to keep consciousness of the ‘Create’ theme burbling through my days, and to assist in ‘creating something new’ becoming embedded as a ‘habit’.

In sum, my intention for 2021 [Google doc here] is to #CreateSomethingNewEachDay, and the Create Project will hold space and structure to nurture this new muscle.

It’s not just about exploring the ‘creative Source’ within us all, it’s also about laying to rest old paradigms of reactivity, perfectionism and overstimulation.

I have had experiences of the wonders of creative expression, and I want to embed such wonder in my daily life, as an act of sovereignty, self-care and self-love.

Let’s go in and accumulate some present moment awareness…

Today’s Creative Impulse: (it was clear image in my mind’s eye!)

  • Take the flipchart outside (it’s bright and sunny though 2 degrees!)
  • Re-listen to the NVC audio programme I’ve been listening to this week
  • Create an NVC infographic on the flipchart
  • Share it to the SoD instagram

Ok! I can do that! Would you like to speak to this a little?

You’ve been wrestling with a difficult conversation you need to have. You want to be kind and exemplify the traits of the mediator you are. This will be helpful.

Thank you. Yes, I sense that. I hope to follow it up with a phone call. And then do all my Christmas thank yous and greetings – answering all the messages.

Does it feel good to start the day with the Creative instead of the Reactive?

Yes!! Yesterday, new year’s day, I created my first #SomethingNew – a 2021 colour-coded wall calendar. It took me an hour or so, spread out over the sitting room floor with stickers and pens. And afterwards, I felt such wellbeing. Such a sense of fulfilment, satisfaction and optimism! Maybe if we create enough, the reactive work is easier because our reservoirs are full.

‘Our reservoirs are full’ is exactly the phrase. Creativity draws down source energy into our being… and allows it to flow out to the seen, physical world. This enlivens us.

Like art therapy. Or gardening.

Yes, some people think these activities are mere ‘distractions’ for addled brains. Far from it. To create is to return to our very own Source. How you live without active creation is beyond us.

Tbh, I think it’s beyond us too. Our epidemic of mental ill-health could well correlate with the degree to which we minimise and disenfranchise our creative spirits. And so…

Buckle up, buttercup! You’re in for a ride, not least because you will be creating New Things, but because this will bring you face to face with all the elements of you that would deny your creative spirit. Exciting, huh?!

Haha! Sure thing! Well, let’s do this. Am I or am I not a creator of my own reality?!

You most certainly are. Let’s go create!

I am a creator

PS. Remember: work softly with any resistance which arises. Working with the ‘resistance to our creativity’ is where the good stuff lies, because that uncomfortable ‘resistance’ is simply an invitation to embody greater self-compassion, self-love, self-care. Learn to interpret that discomfort as just such an invitation – and act accordingly – and you’ll be on your way to a whole new way of life. <3

Presence 63: I am inspired to act on creative impulses  [End of Presence Project]

It’s the 31st December 2020. The last day of a tempestuous year for the whole planet. And the last day of the Presence Project. How do I know? Because I only have the last few pages of this beautiful book to go… and the Create Project is on the horizon it seems!

So, I’m sitting here with next year’s wall calendar blank on the floor in front of me. I have (God-willing) 365 days ahead of me – and the power to design and define them.

Essentially, I want to dive in to ‘how I want to feel’ in those days – as opposed to ‘goals I set myself to achieve’. This year has taught me that we can make plans, but plans can be thwarted by external forces. It has also taught me that we can CHOOSE how we feel and want to feel in any moment with far greater facility and agility – and thus be independent of the will or co-operation of anyone else.

I plan to FEEL:

  • relaxed
  • settled
  • focussed
  • satisfied
  • aroused by enthusiasm
  • motivated
  • peaceful
  • confident
  • receptive to inspiration
  • in control
  • responsive (v reactive)
  • steady
  • inspired
  • grateful
  • appreciation
  • in awe
  • joyful
  • mirthful
  • connected
  • deliberate
  • clear-minded
  • bold and brave
  • brash
  • anchored
  • present
  • creative

Nice work.

Ty. Shall we read the last pages of The Present Process? I’m so grateful to Michael Brown for this exceptionally inspired, wise, illuminating book. It has accompanied me like a mentor and guide since August – and given me the opportunity to make inner progress during this most complex and surprising of years. Thank you, dear MB.

Beautiful! What a powerful and profound book!

Some final notes.

The 15min Conscious Connect Breathing practice continues:

Our intent is our flight path. When we feel ourselves being tossed into unconsciousness by “time,” how then do we consciously respond? How do we compensate and make the required adjustments? We stop whatever we are doing and connect our breathing until present moment awareness is restored. It’s this simple. It’s this obvious. Consciously connecting our breathing restores present moment awareness and reminds us of our intent when the turbulence of our experience causes confusion. Consciously connecting our breathing rescues us from the wreckage of any crash we may manifest. By committing to make our 15 minutes breathing practice as much a part of our daily routine as brushing our teeth, we insure ourselves against Presence-decay. Our breathing routine is our responsibility because it ensures we have consciously established a route into ourselves, which is where all navigational adjustments are made.

MB gives ‘A Parting Gift’: CONSCIOUSLY APPROACHING VIBRATIONAL AWARENESS. He describes the practice in detail and states the following:

Once we are listening to any inner sound, or to the nothingness, we are at the doorway of our inner portal into vibrational awareness. Whatever occurs beyond this point is ours to contain.

The efficiency of this practice isn’t in what we hear inwardly, but in our capacity to remain in a state of listening. This state of listening – of consciously being a receiver – empowers us to become open to receive all we require for our daily encounters directly from our unified source. As our capacity to listen evolves, so also does our capacity to receive.

This vibrational practice isn’t about perfection, but about full participation in our human experience from “a causal point of you.” Don’t try. Relax into it and enjoy the inevitable consequences. Effortlessness comes from effortlessness. May this practice eternally bless you and all you love with all you require.

Thank you dear Michael Brown for this adventure with you.

I absolutely love the idea of developing capacity to remain in a ‘state of listening’. This is at the heart of our Dialogues, isn’t it? And this is the foundation for ‘downloading creative impulses’ – right? We enter the state of present moment awareness, through our ‘accumulating PMA practices’ (my phrase/interp)… and gain access to our creative source and the impulses of our inner being – which is the part of us looking directly at ‘all the good stuff our vortex contains’ which has been placed there by our sifting and sorting through contrast! As Abraham says:

Creative Impulses. ACTING on the creative impulses ‘downloaded’ from present moment awareness, from alignment, from source energy. That’s the order of the day for the Create Project. And of course, learning to discern which impulses came from non-alignment and should be … recycled!

I’d like to share my appreciation for the blessings of 2020:

  • The opportunity to rest, restore and follow a health-giving routine
  • Moving all my work online – as I’d longed to do!
  • The blessing of having Graham and Ana here
  • Watching Lucia nail a £60k salary, and then move on to her creative work. Yes!
  • The wonder that Lucia, Dad, sibs and others all have remained well <3
  • Ayari’s incredibly recovery – and her powerful relationship with Nick
  • That Ana got though Covid with a full strong recovery
  • Immersing myself in qigong, and completing 7/16 weeks of the Teacher Certification Programme (my big gift to self this year!)
  • This beautiful home and the incredible nature around it
  • My daily walks in nature
  • My colleagues, clients, cases and calling <3
  • Serving some 1500 people through my work in 2020
  • This year (Jan-Dec)  I have delivered on 93 training and mediation bookings – WOW!!
  • This year, I ‘received’ The School of Dialogue – in 21/22 I aim to have fewer bookings and more revenue  <3
  • The beautiful hot spring/summer we had
  • Precious time with family members when possible
  • Zoom and the internet. Thank you!
  • My life-giving, heart-filling, joyful, fun, stimulating, passionate, flowing, deep, comforting, envelopingly-wonderful relationship with Graham.

I would also like to take the opportunity to think about things I would like in my 2021 Wall Calendar which I am going to design around being ‘inspired to act on creative impulses’ and “#CreateSomeThingNewToday  (#CSTNT – boom!).

I will start with creative…

2021 Gifts to Self:

  1. 365 Day streak of 15min Breathing / PMA practice
  2. Qualify as a qigong teacher
  3. Launch The SoD with the 12 hours H2D course
  4. Get a book deal for H2D
  5. Reach 133lb by 14Mar20
  6. Buy a beautiful new bike
  7. Get a monthly massage
  8. Quarterly spa/retreat weekend away (accumulating PMA; reflect on and celebrate the quarter’s achievements)
  9. Three holidays away – one abroad – can be working/R&D holidays for SoD
  10. Create the road to One Jam 2022 (decrease other work, and transition over to HtD only)
  11. Recruit an administrator / business manager / PA
  12. Apply for travel scholarships for SoD (eg Churchill)
  13. Sober Sundays all year
  14. Tweak, refine and perfect AT’s Daily Routine 3.0 later in 2021. <3

Wow…. this prompted me to search my google drive for ‘2020 Goals’. Look what I found:

2020 Goals

Personal: Practice the MEDS with discipline for vibrant energy

Professional: Share the Tools of PULL with the Newgens

[PULL = peace, unity, love and light – a term I coined to bring together all I intend]

Really, it’s so amazing. I did it! THANK YOU 2020. This year has been so so challenging in so many ways, and from those challenges have come opportunity for growth, courage, experimentation, digging deep, doubling down, focussing on intentions. Thank you. <3

And heavens look at this!

I had so many intentions – but so complex!

My intention for 2021 is simple:

  • Act on Creative Impulses downloaded in Present Moment Awareness
  • Create Something New Each Day
  • Record the outcomes in my  Book of Creative D.A.R.M.A.
  • Create > Consume

So… this is all pouring out of me today. What would you like to to know, to better draw down and activate this creativity?

Create your 2021 Wall Calendar today. That will be powerful. You are learning to CONJURE with your will and your intention. That is how life is meant to work. To reach this point you needed to Pivot and to become Present.

Oh my word, yes! Thank you for both the DoDs Projects this year. I should reread them, no?

Only if you feel the ‘impulse’ to! But hear this. You pivoted and became present this year in new ways. You are now better than ever at harnessing your attention and being mindful and living with complex emotions and riding the waves of life. You have worked on deep issues – and even undertaken some psychotherapy if you recall! You have undertaken the Queens’ Mysteries coaching. You have walked miles and miles and miles. You have thrown yourself into qigong. You are now ready to reach into the STILLNESS you have new access to, and alchemise stillness with your soul’s desire, to activate your creative source. May 2021 be moment by moment a flow of inestimable joy, wellbeing and creativity for you. xxx

Thank you! For this project, for this year, for the learning acquired and the PMA accumulated. Love and peace to 2021!

I am inspired to act on creative impulses

Presence 62: I am inspired to create #SomethingNew

I have been practising accumulating Present Moment Awareness. This is the work of the Presence Process – like the work of a gardener in the garden. And, as MB so beautifully articulates in Part IV of TPP, this work brings the possibility of ‘Fruits and Flowers’. Yesterday I read with much emotion, MB’s description of 45 ‘Fruits and Flowers’ that ‘we become open to as a consequence of embracing present moment awareness.’ (pp244-272). Here are the titles of just the first few:

  1. WE RESPOND INSTEAD OF REACTING.
  2. WE HAVE MORE ENERGY.
  3. WE OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION.
  4. WE COMPLETE TASKS EFFICIENTLY, EFFORTLESSLY, AND FEEL AS THOUGH WE HAVE MORE TIME IN WHICH TO ACCOMPLISH THEM.
  5. WE NO LONGER HURRY.
  6. WORKING CONDITIONS BECOME MORE ENJOYABLE.
  7. WE ARE LESS RESISTANT TO THE UNPREDICTABLE CURRENTS OF LIFE.
  8. WE EXPERIENCE SPONTANEOUS CREATIVITY…

Let’s take a quote from #8 as I’ve been thinking about creativity:

From 8: WE EXPERIENCE SPONTANEOUS CREATIVITY: ‘Our shared source isn’t a healer – it’s a creator. The moment we accomplish the task of integrating our experience, we enter wholeness – holiness. Subsequently, our experience aligns with the will of our shared source. The consequence is that we are creatively inspired. To be source-like, to be causal, is to be creative.’ (TPP p248)

The list of Fruits and Flowers ends with this one:

45: WE MAKE AN AUTHENTIC CONTRIBUTION TO THIS WORLD. As we enter present moment awareness, it becomes obvious that the highest frequency of activity is to serve – to serve the whole by taking care of the part within our experience. As we accumulate present moment awareness, this enthusiasm to serve erupts from within; and when we follow its beckoning, it leads into a joyous and deeply satisfying experience.

There is no more blessed place to stand than in the center of a life experience dedicated to unconditional service. This is the source of the eternal fountain of unconditional love. This is the top of the highest mountain we can climb. To have an opportunity to wear the wings of joyful service is the greatest gift we bring to our heart.

The footprints of loving service emerge from and lead into the center of source’s heart. First we serve ourselves by restoring present moment awareness. Then we serve our family by seeing them as perfect, whole, required to be just as they are, and a blessing to our every step. Then we serve our community by walking wide awake through it without judgment and concern. Then we serve our city by holding a vision of liberation for all from the fog of time. Then we serve our planet by standing at the center of our experience and allowing source to be as present as possible within each breath.

Then, as authentically as we are able to, we look out across the unified field and smile at the stars, moon, and sun. For the greatest service of all we may render on earth is to stand awake and state in silent certainty:

I am here, now, in this, awake and alive. I am a human being, and yet so much more. I am vibration fully present and conscious within matter. Through our shared Presence, I look upon you with love, and therefore with recognition. I am here to remember you as me, and me as you. Let us awaken together from the spell of time and sing the song called Life Eternal, now and forever.” (TPP 271-2)

Amen. <3

So then I thought hard about…

My Ways to Accumulate PMA:

  1. PREP: Remove distraction / sedation materials (screens / soc med / alc)
  2. PREP: Remind self that while accumulating PMA we may get the opportunity to integrate some charged emotion – and that this arises as ‘discomfort’ and resolves with a ‘ping’. Welcome that! This is the work. Divert not. Zone out not!
  3. 15 min Conscious connected breathing practice / Meditation
  4. Hot bath
  5. Listening intently to birdsong
  6. Stim-watching the leaves on the trees
  7. Painting or drawing
  8. Qigong flows
  9. Reading inspiring books (sometimes… certainly better than scrolling)
  10. Writing creatively, like now.

In other words, to accumulate PMA, I need to be able to HARNESS MY ATTENTION.

One way to harness my attention is to practise mindfulness activities (breathing practice, qigong).

Another way is… to BE CREATIVE

You can’t (I reckon) be creative and not be in the present moment. IS THAT TRUE?

Excellent question! Good morning!

Good morning!

Would you like to leave that question in the air and undertake your 15 min breathing practice?

Argh… Ehem. Yes! Of course. Ty for the prompt. 🙂

***15minMed using Insight Timer with bongs – counting outbreaths up to 10 and back to 1 again***

Ok, so that was good. I love this shift from doing or ‘performing’ meditation to accumulating present moment awarenessAlso, after about 12 mins, I recalled the question about creativity. And in to the vacuum of that question popped a really good idea in answer to an earlier question: I have a dear friend whose (v v successful) business is paused because of Covid, rendering her family in difficult circumstances, and I’ve been thinking about if I could offer her any work through my business, that was appropriate for her exceedingly high level of skill and expertise. The answer came to me! It’s a bit out there… It risks her saying no, and my other colleague disagreeing with the idea… Yes, there are risks, but this is such a win-win if I can handle the bumpy ride of the negotiation.

NOW… IMAGINE IF I ACTED ON THE CREATIVE IDEAS that came to me WHILE ACCUMULATING PRESENT MOMENT AWARENESS (ie meditating) – every single time.

It’s almost as if you would be acting on the impulses of your inner being… every single time. 🙂

IKR?!! What a WILD discipline that would be!!

But I wouldn’t want to skew my mindfulness practice towards ‘producing ideas’ – that would be a bit cognitive. Or to start avoiding my practice because of cowering from the impulses to do wild stuff!

As Abraham says: you sit there for a few minutes, your cork floats, and your inner being speaks to you. That’s all that’s happening. You can indeed have this every single time.

I’m sad I’ve ignored or reasoned out so many fantastic impulses…..

Let’s look at the last year. You had planned a year of ‘Sharing Tools’ especially with the younger generations (the Newgens, as you called them here)…

And I lost that vision so quickly…

While you had made plans for this intention, you actually needed to be a little bit ‘reactive’ in 2020, to manage the enormous toll of losing £10,000 worth of bookings (ie all your bookings for 2020) in a flash in March. You did wonderfully with that! And also, be fair to yourself… you spent all year sharing tools, largely with the Newgens, through your trainings – and also through your cases, which were often with younger people). You  have served some 1300 people since April this year via your trainings and casework!! You downloaded the SoD idea, which will be extraordinary for ‘sharing tools’ on a much larger scale! So you actually achieved all you set out to in 2020 – and more – within a pandemic

Wow, thank you.

So! Ready for 2021?!

I am!

The word you have been playing with is CREATE. We love it. We see exactly where it’s arising from, and we love it. You’ve played with “Create > Consume” and there is indeed value in that statement. It’s a launching principle for sure, but not a guiding principle, as you don’t want to be burdened with a “Don’t Do This”.

We see you embracing your CREATIVITY this year, in new and exciting ways. You will gain such freshness and nourishment through harnessing your attention, accumulating present moment awareness, integrating your charged emotional imprinting, experiencing wholeness, and feeling INSPIRED TO CREATE!

Oh, I love that!

And as you give in to the impulses of your supremely creative inner being, and DEVELOP TRUST IN ITS GUIDANCE BY FOLLOWING IT ‘BLINDLY’, you will be endlessly empowered to open the tap of your creative source energy. It is delightful just to think of!

We have a great idea for you.

  1. Download: one CREATIVE IMPULSE a day – write it down
  2. Act: Imagine it has a 24 hour expiry date on it, so act upon it within 24 hours. Write it down.
  3. Record: record the outcome, either immediately, or reflectively later on.
  4. Mention: in passing, mention to someone the outcome (not the process or source of the idea) – to anchor it in your reality and normalise ‘completion’ of the creative impulse cycle
  5. Appreciate: find a way to appreciate or show gratitude to your amazing inner being for being a source of inspired creativity.

I shall call it the Creative DARMA process. Is that ok? I don’t mean to culturally misappropriate….

It’s ok.

If I’ve misheard, you let me know, right?

The point of next year’s project… Oh yes, this the theme of the next project from the 1st Jan: The Create Project… The point of the project is to become a mediator between your creative inner being, and the material, 4D, physical world. Think of the sculptor, who takes clay (reality) and applies creativity to make Something New.

The idea you had about B. just now. That was about making Something New.

Making something new was in my blood when I was younger. I barely thought twice about new creative projects. What happened? Why did I become a little… taut… conservative… risk-averse?

Well often you were creating new things without the wisdom to ‘land’ them. Now you have that wisdom.

I’m cautious about starting too many plates spinning. A new creative impulse a day!?!

Over time, you will get better at hearing the Creative Impulses that really need just the slightest nudge on your part to get going; and also you will find your initial impulses quickly coalesce to take on a life of their own.

Like a mudslide?

Like a river forging new waterways towards the sea.

Keep accumulating PMA through your 15 min practice. That is your key to authentic service, as opposed to splashing your hands in the water, as Reality Transurfing talks about.

So, what’s the overall guiding ‘vision’ or ‘tableau’?

Something New.

As in, something that didn’t exist before. I guess that’s what creation is all about.

Will I get cross and impatient with this work?

Undoubtedly! Until you break through. After that, you’ll be ‘hooked’ to the joy of it. You’ll wonder how you survived before!

I can hear you laughing!

Honestly… It’s such fun!

As Mum said, it’s gotta be fun!

I’ve been given a book. Is that the next book?

Not yet. It will be. This first. Create > Consume. Zone in > Zone out.

How do I record the Creative Darmas? Here?

Not yet. You need a book. A handwritten note book. You can add photos of pages in due course.

Ok. Got it. Ty. So this is the penultimate day for the Presence Project? I’ve loved it. My message for today?

I am inspired to create #SomethingNew
