‘Make every minute count today’ is what I woke up to. This is NEW for me. I think I am feeling energised… Energised by the travel (I arrived in Spain yesterday, to see my parents.) By knowing my two children are independent and launched (and that I don’t need to keep the ‘back door’ of my head open to look about and check on them… Not that I have done for years, but I couldn’t seem to absorb the fact of their fabulous maturity and independence until DD2 went to uni.) I think I am ‘calling my energy back.’ I seem to have scope for giving attention to things. I am zoning out less. I am drawing life towards me.
As I drove through the Spanish landscape last night, on empty roads, I smiled to see the world just presenting itself to me. It seemed so riotously luxurious to sit there and be captivated by moving scenery. I think… no, I know… I am a natural traveller. (I’m Sagittarius.) And it’s been so long since I could be on the open road, without A Care In The World. I love it. THANK YOU LIFE for this freedom to roam and explore and adventure.
There is work to be done here today (we’re preparing for a house move), and I have energy to focus on it, and lend my brain and body to the process.
This morning I was interviewed by phone for The Guardian, on my experiences of social prescribing. My personal and professional lives are merging… after I spent so long hiding the one from the other. I am blessed. Life is taking off.
Any advice today?
It’s lovely when you breathe it all in. The ‘holiday mode’ as Reality Transurfing describes it. Yes, each minute, softly taken, is of value. Softly taken. Softly taken.
Indeed. Calm and soft. Easy and gentle…. No efforting or jazz-handing or slapping one’s hands on the surface of the water… Soft appreciation. Zero importance. Walking in the spirit of peace.
How about a meditation before the day continues.
There’s a van idling outside in the plaza.
Perfect. Make the most of every minute of that sound meditation opportunity!
😀 Hahah. Okay!
Today I am making every minute count. (Softly)

Meditation:
10 mins on the timer: the idling van… not so bad… rather like white noise, followed by silence, followed by the sounds of phone calls downstairs. Playing with the open, expansive, non-judging, observational mindful state (as opposed to the focussed or guided state). Good work.
Exercise:
Swimming some lengths in the small pool 🙂
Diet:
- Breakfast: Coffee, eggs, toast, fruit
- Lunch: salmon, rice, salad, cheese, coffee
- Evening: Lamb, potato and veg. G&T, red wine.
Sleep:
- Screens off: 12 midnight
- Lights out: 12 midnight
- Wake up the next day: 8.30am
- Total sleep: Wakeful because of evening alcohol… 7.5h.

Hang on. Count towards what?
Healing.
Of…?
Relationships, body, history, future…
…. Ok. Well let’s see…. Laters.
